Danville Park Girls’ High School

Danville Park Girls’ High School opened its doors in 1967 and has firmly established itself beyond the Durban North boundaries as a centre for learning excellence in the South African educational arena, having maintained an unbroken 100% pass rate over the past 22 years.
Danville Park offers a balanced, holistic education with world-class facilities which include: digital interactive Smartboards in each classroom, an Indoor Sports Centre, a sprung-floored Gymnasium, a synthetic Hockey -turf, a Graphic -design Studio and an award -winning Media Centre. Danville Park is a socially conscious and eco-minded school having won the National Water-Explorer Initiative in 2015; with a vibrant Environmental Society which runs extensive recycling projects.
Our vision is to help each girl recognise her passion in order to realise her potential, identify her purpose and be prepared for the challenges ahead of her. The aim is to help every girl find her niche and grow into a valued citizen. The synergy of the girls, teachers and parents is tangible. Their relationships are healthy and harmonious and the atmosphere is welcoming, warm and caring with a sincere engagement both within and outside the classroom.
There are a range of Academic, Sport, Cultural and Service initiatives at Danville Park because we believe that our girls need a well-rounded education. Here again, we have a history of sustained excellence. Year on year, we have a laudable number of girls who represent the Province and the Country in Sport, Debating, Writing Competitions, Academic Olympiads and other activities. Whilst we try to extend our highly talented girls and top achievers, ultimately, our aim is to involve every girl so that she feels a sense of belonging and develops the skills to lead a balanced life.
At Danville Park we groom future leaders in all facets of our South African society.
